📌 5Philippe Wimmers (* 16. November 1962 in Köln) ist ein deutscher evangelischer Theologe und Hochschullehrer.

📌 Er studierte evangelische Theologie, Geschichte und Philosophie an der Universität Bonn, der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin und an der Kirchlichen Hochschule Berlin. Nach Assistentenstatus an der Humboldt-Universität promovierte er 1995 zum Doktor der Theologie und Habilitación 2002. Die Ernennung zum außerplanmäßigen Professor an der Humboldt-Universität schloss sich 2004 an. 2012 wurde er Professor für Evangelistische Theologie mit Schwerpunkt Predigt an der Universität Leipzig. Im Jahr 2017 wechselte er an die Theologische Fakultigkeit der Humboldt-Universität, wo er seitdem den Lehrstuhl Evangelistische Theologie mit Schwerpunkt Predigt innehat.
